Sergio and Odair Assad at Pick-Staiger

Brothers Sergio and Odair Assad and friends will explore the rhythmic connections between Middle Eastern and Brazilian music during their "De Volta As Raizes" ("Back to Our Roots") program. The Assads will perform new settings of ancient and modern Lebanese texts by songwriter and vocalist Christiane Karam. They also will be joined on stage by percussionist Jamey Haddad and pianist Clarice Assad, Sergio's daughter. Performance at 7:30 p.m.
