Skokie
Just north of Chicago, you'll find the Village of Skokie, located immediately off of I-94 and the North Shore's closest suburb to O'Hare International Airport. Skokie's preferred location offers easy access to its many hotels, world-class shopping, cultural attractions and superb dining.

A true shopping, dining and entertainment center, Skokie is home to Westfield Old Orchard, one of the Midwest's most celebrated shopping malls. With over 100 specialty stores including retail giants Bloomingdale's, Lord & Taylor, Marshall Field's, Nordstrom and Saks Fifth Avenue, this spectacular outdoor mall features beautiful gardens, landscaped walkways, sparkling fountains and children's play areas. For even more shopping, be sure to visit Skokie's Village Crossing Shopping Center, the Skokie Fashion Square, the shops in Downtown Skokie and on Dempster Street.

Skokie also offers a wonderful selection of overnight accommodations at its five conveniently located hotels. Hundreds of guestrooms are available at the Comfort Inn, Extended Stay America, DoubleTree Hotel North Shore, Hampton Inn and Suites and Holiday Inn North Shore. Many of Skokie's hotels also offer conference centers and flexible meeting space for those interested in hosting group meetings or events.

Skokie also prides itself on its dedication to art, entertainment and culture. Be sure to visit the North Shore Center for the Performing Arts in Skokie, home of Centre East, the award-winning Northlight Theatre and the Skokie Valley Symphony and the Skokie Northshore Sculpture Park, a magnificent open-air art exhibit displaying more than 70 sculptures positioned along beautifully landscaped walking, running and biking paths.

After a long day of browsing the sculptures and stores, or before a performance, you'll definitely work up an appetite…and Skokie's dining options are sure to please! Thanks to the diverse ethnicity of its residents, Skokie restaurants feature a variety of cuisine including traditional American, Russian, classic Italian, Mexican, Asian, Kosher and much more! From corner coffee shops to sophisticated candlelight dining, Skokie promises a great meal!

Be sure to make time to enjoy Skokie's vast array of recreational activities. With more than 248 acres of parkland, Skokie features a cultural center, an indoor ice rink, a driving range, a golf course, two water parks, The Exploritorium indoor children's playground and a state-of-the-art rowing center where visitors can enjoy kayaking, canoeing, sculling and fishing on the North Shore Channel. During the spring and summer months, Skokie plans an exciting calendar of street fairs, outdoor concerts, neighborhood festivals and annual art exhibits, starting with its annual Skokie Festival of Cultures each May. This two-day, outdoor celebration of Skokie's ethnic diversity draws thousands of visitors who enjoy ethnic cuisine, entertainment, costumes, children's activities and a fabulous multi-cultural bazaar.

You'll surely agree….Skokie's got it all!
